  After 20+ years as an educator, I discovered that social-emotional learning principles had deep roots in my own family's 500-year story. Now I help others connect research to real-world application through educational resources and frameworks. 

  From my 13th great-grandfather surviving Catholic persecution in Elizabethan England to my great-grandfather challenging Jim Crow barriers, my family developed wisdom traditions that transformed challenges into strength across generations.
